Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 22, 2025, the committee resumed its study of financial fraud and scams in Canada.

Mark Hines, Bernard Brun and Steven Harroun made statements and, with Scott Hutton and Frédéric Lapalme, answered questions.

At 4:09 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

At 4:39 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:48 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Economic and Supply Chain Impacts of U.S. Tariffs on Canada's Metallurgical and Advanced Manufacturing Sectors
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, April 16, 2026, the committee resumed its study of economic and supply chain impacts of U.S. tariffs on Canada's metallurgical and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Impact on Canada’s Machine, Tool, Die, Mould and Metallurgical Manufacturing Industries".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than Friday, June 19th, 2026.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

Opportunities, Risks, and Regulation of AI in Canada’s Strategic Industries
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 22, 2025, the committee resumed its study of opportunities, risks, and regulation of AI in Canada’s strategic industries.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, February 9, 2026, the committee resumed its study of the federal government's electric vehicle (EV) policies.
