Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 24, 2025, the committee resumed its study of issues related to federally recognized Indigenous communities that do not have a land base, reserve or modern treaty.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Issues Related to First Nations Communities Without Reserve Lands".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

At 11:33 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 11:40 a.m., the meeting resumed.

At 11:45 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 11:53 a.m., the meeting resumed.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, the committee invite the Minister of Indigenous Services, the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency to appear no later than Thursday, June 18, 2026.

It was agreed, — That members submit proposed locations for travel related to the study of Affordability Challenges in Northern Canada to the clerk before Thursday, June 18, 2026.

At 12:15 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
