Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the committee resumed the review of the Fisheries Act.

Barry Coultish and Kent Spencer made statements and answered questions.

At 4:21 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:26 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Peter Lambertucci, Neil Jensen, Trevor Lushington, Rae McCleave and Geoff Thorburn made statements and, with Paul Didham, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the committee send for the email exchanges between Trevor Lushington and the Parliamentary Affairs team of Fisheries and Oceans Canada regarding the appearance of Trevor Lushington before the committee as an individual, planned for Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

ORDERED, — That the Clerk inform Trevor Lushington that the Committee is sending for a copy of his email correspondence with the Parliamentary Affairs team at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, to be provided as soon as possible.

At 5:15 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

At 5:32 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
