The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for the consideration of the subject matter of Bill C-16, An Act to amend certain Acts in relation to criminal and correctional matters (child protection, gender-based violence, delays and other measures), be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for consideration of the Main Estimates 2026-27, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That recommendations for the draft report on the study of antifeminist ideology be submitted to the clerk, in both official languages, no later than noon on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the committee resumed its study of abuse and financial vulnerability of senior women.

Bénédicte Schoepflin, Loriane Estienne and Deborah Rose made statements and answered questions.
