Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 12, 2026, the committee commenced its study of Syria’s political transition.

Gregory Galligan made a statement and, with Stefanie McCollum, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $22,350, for the study of Syria’s political transition, be adopted.

At 4:23 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:35 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Elliot Tepper and Laurence Deschamps-Laporte made statements and answered questions.

At 4:49 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:50 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Khattar Abou Diab made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:35 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
