| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, December 3, 2025, your committee has considered Bill C-241, An Act to establish a national strategy respecting flood and drought forecasting, and agreed on Thursday, June 4, 2026, to report it with the following amendments: Clause 3 That Bill C-241, in Clause 3, be amended by “(a) replacing lines 2 and 3 on page 3 with the following: would support flood and drought forecasting; (b) replacing lines 12 to 16 on page 3 with the following: (d) measures that the Government of Canada may take in response to the assessments referred to in paragraphs (a) to (c), including the preparation of a proposal for the establishment of a cooperative, national hydrological and water resources forecasting service and system based on the federal-provincial distributed model of the National Hydrometric Program.” Clause 4 That Bill C-241, in Clause 4, be amended by replacing line 24 on page 3 with the following: “ment of Canada website within 10 business days after the day on” Clause 5 That Bill C-241, in Clause 5, be amended by replacing line 35 on page 3 with the following: “ment of Canada website within 10 business days after the day on” Preamble That Bill C-241, in the preamble, be amended by replacing line 23 on page 1 with the following: “sought-after by the United States of America and around the” |
