The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, regarding the meeting with a delegation from the United Kingdom on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, a budget in the amount of $50 to defray the costs of hospitality (protocol gift) be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, October 6, 2025, the committee resumed its study of protecting Canadian residents from extreme weather events.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Protecting Canadian residents from extreme weather events".

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the adopted report be distributed to the committee by Monday, June 8, 2026.

It was agreed, — That, regarding the briefing on the Major Projects Office’s mandate, priorities and operations, the Chair send a letter to Dawn Farrell, Chief Executive Officer, regarding her availability to appear as a witness before the committee.

At 4:27 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
