The Chair called Vote 1 under Canada Water Agency.
The Minister made a statement and, with Terrence Hubbard, answered questions.
At 12:02 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 12:12 p.m., the meeting resumed.
The witnesses answered questions.
Branden Leslie moved, — That the committee request that the Office of the Prime Minister provide, in both official languages, an unredacted copy of the letter reportedly sent to the Prime Minister at the end of April 2026 by 14 Liberal Members of Parliament concerning environmental policy, clean electricity regulations, climate change, and the government’s credibility, as reported by CBC/Radio‑Canada in the article titled “14 Liberal MPs pen letter to Carney raising concerns over environmental backslide,” published on Friday, May 22, 2026; and that the letter be provided to the clerk of the committee no later than seven days following the adoption of this motion.
Debate arose thereon.
On motion of Wade Grant, it was agreed, — That the debate be now adjourned.
By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That the Main Estimates 2026-27: Votes 1 and 5 under Canada Water Agency, Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Department of the Environment, Votes 1 and 5 under Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Parks Canada Agency, be carried on division.
At 1:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
