At 4:51 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 4:58 p.m., the meeting resumed.
Andrew Campbell made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 5:48 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 5:55 p.m., the meeting resumed.
It was agreed, — That, regarding Bill C-241, an Act to establish a national strategy respecting flood and drought forecasting, pursuant to Standing Order 97.1 (1), the committee report to the House requesting a single extension of 30 sitting days to consider the bill, to provide time to receive testimony from the bill’s sponsor.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Sustaining Canada’s Freshwater for today and tomorrow".
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report within 120 calendar days.
It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
