Ashley Honsberger, Catherine Filejski, Adeline Cohen Boulakia and Jean Caron made statements and answered questions.

At 12:02 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee commenced its study of food security in the face of global instability.

Jeanne Pratt made a statement and, with Mike Hollingworth and Anthony Durocher, answered questions.

At 12:42 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:47 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the committee resumed its study of business risk management programs in Canada’s agriculture sector.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft letter.

It was agreed, — That the draft letter, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the letter.

ORDERED, — That the Chair send the letter to Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers of Agriculture.

At 1:05 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
