Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)c) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the committee resumed its study of indigenous procurement.

Gina Wilson made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 12:40 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:43 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Motion

Kelly Block moved, — That the committee report to the House that it calls on Indigenous Services Canada to recover funds given to non-Indigenous companies who took advantage of the Indigenous set-aside.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Jenica Atwin moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting the words “report to the House that it” after the words ''That the committee'', and by replacing the words ''Indigenous Services Canada to recover funds given to non-Indigenous companies who took advantage of the Indigenous set-aside'' by the words ''Indigenous Services Canada to recommend that funds be recovered if given to non-Indigenous companies who took advantage of the Indigenous set-aside''.

Debate arose thereon.

At 1:03 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
