Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2023-24: Votes 1 and 5 under Canada Revenue Agency, Votes 1 and 5 under Department of Finance, Vote 1 under Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada and Vote 1 under Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, referred to the committee on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Department of Finance.

The Minister made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 12:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:02 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Christopher Veilleux made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

Committee Business
The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Governor of the Bank of Canada appear for 90 minutes on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, and that the Parliamentary Budget Officer appear on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, for 30 minutes.

At 1:56 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
