Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee commenced its study of mental health of young women and girls.

Sara Austin, Mégane Jacques, Rowena Pinto, Simone Vigod, Peter Szatmari, Leslie Buckley, Daisy Singla and Charlene Senn made statements and answered questions.

At 12:33 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:37 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the mental health of young women and girls, the committee hold three additional hearing meetings.

It was agreed, — That the clerk of the committee be authorized to provide access to the digital binder to the office of the whips of each recognized party.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $39,050.00, for the study of the mental health of young women and girls, be adopted.

At 1:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
