Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2022-23: Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Department of Citizenship and Immigration, and Vote 1 under Immigration and Refugee Board, referred to the committee on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Department of Citizenship and Immigration.

The Minister made a statement and, with Caroline Xavier, answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee resumed its study of application backlogs and processing times.

The Minister made a statement and, with Caroline Xavier and Daniel Mills, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That amendments for Bill C-242, An Act to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (temporary resident visas for parents and grandparents) be sent to the clerk of the committee by Thursday, May 26, 2022, at noon (ET).

At 1:13 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
