Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 26, 2020, the committee resumed its study of food security in northern communities.

Jason Smallboy made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 12:43 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 4,200, for the study of Food Security in Northern Communities, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to its study of Bill C-8, An Act to amend the Citizenship Act (Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's call to action number 94), the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship with department officials, the former Commissioners of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, Eric Cardinal, and representatives from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, the Assembly of First Nations, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, the Metis National Council, the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, and the Native Women’s Association of Canada, be invited to appear.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Committee’s study of Bill C-8, An Act to amend the Citizenship Act (Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's call to action number 94), the deadline for submission of amendments to the Clerk be 4:00 p.m. on February 2, 2021 and that the date for Clause-by-Clause consideration be February 4, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

At 1:04 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
