The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $1,800.00, for the study of Canada Revenue Agency’s Efforts to Combat Tax Avoidance and Evasion, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, the committee resumed its study of Canada Revenue Agency’s Efforts to Combat Tax Avoidance and Evasion.

André Lareau, Claude Vaillancourt, and Charles-Antoine St-Jean made statements and, with Bruce Ball, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Gabriel Ste-Marie, it was agreed, — That Mr. Michael Morris, Mrs. Susan Gibbons, Mr. William Maycock and Mr. Serge Bilodeau be summoned to appear before the committee and give evidence on Canada Revenue Agency’s Efforts to Combat Tax Avoidance and Evasion at its June 17th 2021 meeting and that the committee directs Mr. Ian Morris to forward the contact information of Mr. Michael Morris to the Clerk of the committee so that he may issue a summons for him.

ORDERED, — That Mr. Michael Morris, Mrs. Susan Gibbons, Mr. William Maycock, and Mr. Serge Bilodeau be summoned to appear before the committee and give evidence on Canada Revenue Agency’s Efforts to Combat Tax Avoidance and Evasion at its meeting on June 17, 2021 meeting.

At 5:54 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
