Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, the committee proceeded to a briefing regarding the current situation of Alexei Navalny.

Leonid Volkov made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:49 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:56 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $400, for the briefing on the current situation of Alexei Navalny, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee hold a joint meeting with the Standing Committee on National Defense in regard to the current situation in Ukraine.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Foreign Affairs be invited to appear before the committee on Thursday, May 27, 2021 on the subject matter of Main Estimates 2021-22.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 22, 2020, the committee resumed its study of the vulnerabilities created and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The committee resumed consideration of the draft report.

At 5:38 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
