Pursuant to the order of reference of Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, the committee resumed its study of Business Risk Management programs

Léopold Bourgeois, Andre Harpe, Erin Gowriluk and Peter Slade made statements and answered questions.

At 6:08 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:21 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $2,800, for the the study of the Canadian response to the COVID-19 pandemic, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $2,725, for the study of the Business Risk Management Programs, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, regarding the study on business risk management programs: (1) the analysts would revise the draft letter to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food based on members’ feedback, provided that a second version of the letter would be sent to members electronically by the end of the week, and that members would send their final suggestions for changes to the clerk by the meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2020; and (2) members would send their list of recommendations for the draft report to the analysts no later than Wednesday, July 15, 2020.

At 6:45 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
