Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Navigation Protection Act.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $16,500.00, for the study of infrastructure and smart communities, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $19,500.00, for the study of aviation safety, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $16,500.00, for the study of the Canadian Infrastructure Bank, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $19,500.00, for the study of the Canadian transportation and logistics strategy, be adopted.

At 11:56 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, the Committee commenced its study of infrastructure and smart communities.

Shawn Slack, Charles Berndt and Gary Andrishak, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, made statements and answered questions.

At 1:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
