Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports.

Peter Bayrachny, Richard Boehnke and Tom Driedger made statements and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, if possible, members submit preliminary recommendations for the interim report on the study of the Canadian transportation and logistics, to the Clerk of the Committee, by Thursday, November 1, 2018.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $21,000, for the study of assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That an extra meeting be added to the study of study of assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports.

It was agreed, — That the Chief Executive Officer or Chief Operating Officer from Air Canada and Westjet, as well as officials from Transport Canada be invited to appear for the extra meeting on the study of assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports.

At 9:40 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
