Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, the Subcommittee resumed a briefing on the human rights situation in Iran.

It was agreed, — That Pariya Kohandel be invited to submit a written brief in place of her oral testimony.

At 1:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:15 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $6,300.00, for briefings on the human rights situation in Iran, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee issue a News Release on the human rights situation in Iran.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee undertake a three meeting study of the human rights situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Subcommittee invite representatives of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) to appear during the month of June 2018, on the human rights situation in Ukraine.

At 1:27 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
