The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Hon. Karina Gould, Minister of Democratic Institutions, be invited to appear at the earliest opportunity in relation to the creation of an independent Leaders' Debates Commission.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, June 19, 2018, the Committee resumed consideration of the question of privilege related to the matter of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police publications respecting Bill C-71, An Act to amend certain Acts and Regulations in relation to firearms.

The Minister made a statement and, with Jennifer Strachan and Rob O'Reilly, answered questions.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:18 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 1:01 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
