Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, the Committee commenced its study of the Review of the Plan of the Department of National Defence to Record and Value Inventory.

John Forster made a statement and, with Patrick Finn and Claude Rochette, answered questions.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That the Department of National Defence provide the Committee with a report explaining how each of the milestones of the 2013 action plan were either met or not met;

That it provide the Committee with detailed reasons for which any of the deadlines of the 2013 plan were extended into the future;

That it provide a clearer explanation of the terms used and make the two charts comparable for proper comparison;

That it provide the Committee with a further report regarding how well military inventory is managed in comparison to Canada by the following Canadian allies—1. The United States, 2. United Kingdom, and 3. Australia; and

That all these be provided to the Committee by the end of January 2017.

At 5:11 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:16 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

At 5:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
