Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(g), the Committee commenced consideration of the Spring 2018 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

Michael Ferguson made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Michael Ferguson made a statement, and with Jean Goulet, Philippe Le Goff, Carol McCalla and Glenn Wheeler, answered questions.

Motion

Alexander Nuttall moved, — That the Committee invite the Clerk of the Privy Council to help answer: why Phoenix failed and in the government's highly controlled environment, how was it possible for Phoenix to happen.

It was agreed, — That the debate on the motion be adjourned until the end of the meeting.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

Motion

Alexander Nuttall moved, — That the Committee invite the Clerk of the Privy Council to address the message of the Auditor General in the 2018 Spring Reports.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 3; NAYS: 1.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
