Pursuant to Standing Orders 108(2) and 108(3)(c)(iii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of hiring veterans for public service positions.

Jordie Yeo made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:04 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the President of the Treasury Board be invited to appear before the Committee to discuss the Main Estimates, 2019-20 and the Report on Plans and Priorities 2019-20.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Accessibility be invited to appear before the Committee to discuss the Main Estimates, 2019-20 and the Report on Plans and Priorities 2019-20.

It was agreed, — That representatives of the Privy Council Office be invited to appear before the Committee to discuss the Main Estimates, 2019-20 and the Report on Plans and Priorities 2019-20.

ORDERED, — That, in relation to the Committee’s study of the hiring of veterans for public service positions, the analysts be instructed to prepare a draft report incorporating only witness testimony and briefs received by Friday, May 10, 2019, by the Committee.

It was agreed, — That the Committee continue its study of the hiring of veterans for public service positions during its meetings on Monday, May 13, and Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.
