Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4)(b), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2018-19: Votes 1, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 under Treasury Board Secretariat, referred to the Committee on Monday, April 16, 2018.

Brian Pagan, Pierre-Marc Mongeau, Lori MacDonald, Adelle Laniel, Marcia Santiago, John Kozij, Philippe Thompson and Roger Scott-Douglas answered questions.

At 11:55 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

Daniel Blaikie moved, — That Vote 40 under the Treasury Board Secretariat in the amount of $7,040,392,000, as it appears on page II-260 of the Main Estimates 2018-19, be reduced by $745,000, as it appears on page A1–7 of the Main Estimates 2018-19 for A New Process for Federal Election Leaders’ Debates under Privy Council Office, in addition to any reductions previously agreed upon.

Debate arose thereon.

The attention of the Chair was drawn to the lack of a quorum and, fewer than six members having been counted, the names of the Members present were taken down as follows:
