The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Committee Activities and Expenditures - April 1, 2016 to August 31, 2016".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The Clerk gave a presentation of the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.

It was agreed, — That the Committee present to the Board of Internal Economy a request for an additional $600,000 to the global envelope for committee activities, for the current fiscal year.

It was agreed, — That the Committee present to the Board of Internal Economy that the annual funds in the amount of $250,000 for the purpose of financing forensic, e-consultation and other specialized experts, be transferred to the budget for funding all other committee activities, including operations, studies and travel; and that, upon approval of this request by the Board of Internal Economy, the Clerk be authorized to make any related technical changes as may be necessary to the Financial Management and Policy Guide for Committees.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted by the Committee on June 14, 2016, the budget of $65,050.11 for the travel of 10 members of the Standing Committee on National Defence to Washington, D.C., in the Winter-Spring of 2017, approved in principle and recommended by the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets, be adopted.

At 1:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
