The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Chair submit to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee the three preliminary proposals for travel in Canada, to the United States and to Switzerland.

It was agreed, — That briefings on the Copyright Act be held on Tuesday, February 13, and Thursday, February 15, 2018.

At 4:27 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:41 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology, hold two hearings with witnesses from Apple, the Competition Bureau, and CRTC, on iPhone batteries, in order to understand the impact of this on the Canadian market, competition, consumers rights, and for Canadians who rely on these phones for personal use and in the workplace.

At 5:06 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
