Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, October 26, 2016, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-243, An Act respecting the development of a national maternity assistance program strategy and amending the Employment Insurance Act (maternity benefits).

Alicia Ibbitson by videoconference from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Nicola Cherry by videoconference from Edmonton, Alberta, Dan Tadic and Roch Lafrance made statements and answered questions.

At 1:01 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
