Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 25, 2016, the Committee commenced its study of the Northern Cod Stock.

Trevor Swerdfager and John Brattey made statements and, with Philippe Morel and Brian Lester, answered questions.

At 5:08 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:14 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, draft and circulate, to the public and local media, a news release advising of the Committee's travel to St-Johns, Port de Grave, and Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and to Miramichi, New Brunswick, in the context of the Northern Cod Stock and the Wild Atlantic Salmon studies, respectively, and that the names and ridings of the members travelling be included.

At 5:26 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
