CANADIANS ARE INVITED TO SHARE THEIR PRIORITIES FOR THE 2016 FEDERAL BUDGET
Ottawa, February 05, 2016 -
The House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance is inviting Canadians to share their priorities for the 2016 federal budget.
The Finance Committee will be extending invitations to selected individuals and groups to appear before it from February 16 to February 19, 2016.
As well, the Committee is interested in receiving written submissions from Canadians as part of its annual pre-budget consultations. These submissions will be translated, circulated to Committee members and posted on the Committee’s website. To be accepted, submissions must be no more than 2,000 words in length and must be received by the Committee no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, February 19, 2016. Written submissions should be sent to: finapbc-cpb@parl.gc.ca.
The results of the Committee’s consultations will be tabled in the House of Commons.
