Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-44, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2017 and other measures.

Toby Sanger, Azfar Ali Khan, Benjamin Dachis, and Andy Manahan made statements and, with Randall Bartlett, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Committee hold a meeting on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to hear from departmental officials on the remaining divisions of Part 4 of Bill C-44.

At 5:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:10 p.m., the sitting resumed.

David Macdonald, Mark Romoff, and Matti Siemiatycki made statements and answered questions.

At 5:45 p.m., Ron Liepert took the Chair.

At 5:47 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 5:50 p.m., Hon. Wayne Easter took the Chair.

At 5:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
