Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 4, 2016, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2016.

Erik Queenan, Janet Gray, Fred Phelps, Daniel Kelly, Kevin Lee and Hans Marotte made statements and answered questions.

At 5:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:17 p.m., the sitting resumed.

David Macdonald, Warren Everson, Thomas Pedersen, Michael McSweeney, Cindy Blackstock, and Éric Forest and Gilles Caron, by videoconferene from Rimouski, Quebec, made statements and answered questions.

At 6:21 p.m., Ron Liepert took the Chair.

At 6:30 p.m., the Hon. Wayne Easter took the Chair.

At 6:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:41 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Michael Toye, Bill Ferreira, Sergio Marchi, Pascale St-Onge, Phil Upshall, Michael Wilson and Monika Dutt, by videoconference from Sydney, Nova Scotia, made statements and answered questions.

At 8:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 8:12 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite eight (8) additional witnesses to appear on the Pre-Budget Consultations 2016 on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..

At 8:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
