Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, November 14, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the economic security of women in Canada.

Corinne Prince, Amanda Deseure and Charlotte Kiddell made statements and, with David Cashaback, answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee send a letter to the minister of Justice encouraging her to follow up with provincial and territorial counterparts on testimony heard during the study of Bill C-337; and asking the minister to report back to the Committee on these communications.

It was agreed, — That the Committe invites representatives of various departments on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, to appear as part of its study of the economic security of women in Canada.

At 9:43 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:47 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee resumed its study of the economic security of women in Canada.

Wanda Morris, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, Bob Vansickle, by videoconference from Sarnia, Ontario, and Violet Hayes made statements and, with Ronell Bosman, answered questions.

At 10:42 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
