Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the situation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia 25 years after the end of the Cold War.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 18,300.00, for the study of the human rights surrounding natural resource extraction within Latin America, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 3,100.00, for a briefing on the human rights situation in Rohingya, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Committee adopt a budget for a contract of service in the amount of $400.00, to design a special cover for the report related to the study of the provision of assistance to Canadians in difficulty abroad (Consular Affairs).

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 25,700.00, for the study of provision of assistance to Canadians in difficulty abroad, be adopted.

At 12:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
