Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the situation in Eastern Europe and Central Asia 25 years after the end of the Cold War.

Leigh Sarty made a statement and answered questions.

At 9:52 a.m., Dean Allison took the Chair.

At 10:08 a.m., Robert D. Nault took the Chair.

At 10:30 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:32 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Subcommittee on International Human Right's study of Canada's global engagement on human rights issues, particularly by exchanging with the human rights committees in the U.S. Congress, the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $1,047.13, be adopted.

At 10:35 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
