The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of United States and Canadian Foreign Policy, the proposed budget in the amount of $86,013.76, for the Committee’s travel to Washington, D.C., Detroit and Lansing, Michigan, United States in the Spring of 2017, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion concerning the Committee's travel budget to Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Poland adopted by the Committee on Monday, November 14, 2016, the Committee also provides hospitality and working meals during the trip.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion concerning the Committee's travel budget to Washington, D.C. and Lansing and Detroit, Michigan, adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, the Committee be authorized to provide hospitality and working meals during the trip.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a draft budget respecting the costs associated with the production and printing of a special cover in colour and extra copies, in relation to its report on its study entitled “A Statutory Review of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act and the Special Economic Measures Act" for consideration by the Committee as soon as possible.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, April 14, 2016, and section 20 of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Freezing Assets of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act and the Special Economic Measures Act.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 10:43 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
