The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

The Chair presented the First Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure. The Report, was concurred in and read as follows:

Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendation:

That the Committee invite the Commissioners Suzanne Legault, Daniel Therrien, Mary Dawson and Karen E. Shepherd to appear either on Thursday, February 18, 2016, or Tuesday, February 23, 2016, to consider matters relating to Committee business and future work.

Pursuant to Standing Orders108(3)(h)(i), (ii), (iii) and (iv), the Committee proceeded to a Briefing with the Information, Privacy, Lobbying, and Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioners.

Karen E. Shepherd, Mary Dawson, Daniel Therrien and Suzanne Legault made statements and answered questions.

At 10:21 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:27 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108 (3)(h)(vi) the Committee undertake a study of the Access to Information Act.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108 (3)(h)(vi) the Committee undertake a study on the Privacy Act.

At 10:41 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
