Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 25, 2016, the Committee resumed its study on family reunification.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That information from officials of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration received in other studies during this session, and which is pertinent to family reunification, be used in the draft report.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the tenth report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Monday, February 13, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the Committee’s hospitality budget be used to provide refreshments at the informal meeting with the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, which will take place on February 21, 2017.

2. That the Committee’s study on Immigration Consultants take place immediately following the study on the Modernization of Client Service Delivery.

3. That the proposed budget in the amount of $16,300 be approved for the Committee’s study on the 2011 LGBTQ Refugee Pilot Project.

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
