Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, April 29, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of the subject matter of clauses 301 to 310 (Part 4, Division 16) (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act) of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures.

Susan Fratzke, by videoconference from Washington, D.C., Janet Dench, Claire Roque, Brian Lee Crowley, Karen Musalo and Peter Bhatti made statements and answered questions.

At 4:38 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 4:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:26 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of settlement services across Canada.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $17,000.00, for the study of the subject matter of clauses 291 to 300 (Part 4, Division 15) (An Act respecting the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants) of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $14,650.00, for the study of the subject matter of clauses 301 to 310 (Part 4, Division 16) (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act) of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures, be adopted.

At 5:36 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
