Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 1, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of migration challenges and opportunities for Canada in the 21st century.

Adam Brown, Mustafa Alio, Bruce Cohen and Muzna Dureid made statements.

On motion of Salma Zahid, it was agreed, — That with regards to the study of migration challenges and opportunities for Canada in the 21st century the Committee request the analysts to prepare a summary of evidence.

The witnesses answered questions.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Yasmine Abuzgaya, Syed Hussan, by videoconference from Toronto Ontario, and La Trinidad Mina made statements and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to its study of settlement services, members revise their prioritized list of witnesses and submit any modifications to the Clerk of the Committee no later than Monday, January 7, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet on Monday, January 28, 2019 to review the summary of evidence for its study of migration opportunities and challenges for Canada in the 21st Century and to consider of matters related to Committee business.

At 5:37 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
