Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, July 16, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of the impact of irregular crossing of Canada's southern border.

Adam Vaughan made a statement and answered questions.

At 1:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:39 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Lisa MacLeod, Randy Boldt, Jean-Pierre Fortin and Randy Hope, by videoconference from Chatham-Kent, Ontario, made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Michelle Rempel moved, — That, in relation to the Committee's study of the impact of irregular crossing of Canada's southern border, the Committee report its findings to the House and request a government response to that report.

Debate arose thereon.

Motion

Nick Whalen moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 5; NAYS: 4.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

On motion of Michelle Rempel, it was agreed, — That the Committee Evidence of Proceeding from Monday, March 19, 2018, be tabled before the Committee.

The questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 2:39 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
