HOUSE OF COMMONS STANDING COMMITTEE ON VETERANS AFFAIRS TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS IN TORONTO AND MONTREAL
Ottawa, June 3, 2016 -
As part of its study on the Service Delivery to Veterans, the Veterans Affairs Committee will hold public hearings in Toronto and Montreal. The Committee wishes to hear from veterans on this issue. As such, time will be provided for the audience to make remarks.
The primary objective is to determine whether the current benefits and services are working as intended in the opinion of the individuals who should be receiving them: veterans and their families.
The Committee will be in the following cities on the dates indicated:
- June 13, 2016
Toronto (Ontario)
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Chelsea Hotel
Churchill Ballroom
33 Gerrard Street West June 14, 2016
Montreal (Quebec)
5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
Centre Mont-Royal
Salon International
2200, rue Mansfield
Members of the public who wish to speak at these sessions must register on-site between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The list of speakers will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis. The Committee Chair will decide how much time each person will be given based on the number of speakers (around two minutes per person). If possible, please bring five (5) printed copies of the statements.
Please note that participants (and observers) attending the meeting must clear security before they can be granted access to the meeting room and provide photo identification.
