Presenting Reports from Interparliamentary Delegations
Pursuant to Standing Order 34(1), Mr. Bezan (Selkirk—Interlake) presented the report of the Canadian parliamentary delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Forum of the Americas (FIPA) concerning its participation at the Special Parliamentary Dialogue held prior to the Fifth Summit of Heads of States and Governments of the Americas, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, on April 16 and 17, 2009. — Sessional Paper No. 8565-402-74-06.

Introduction of Private Members' Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mrs. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine), seconded by Ms. Foote (Random—Burin—St. George's), Bill C-451, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (mischief), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Vincent (Shefford), seconded by Ms. Bonsant (Compton—Stanstead), Bill C-452, An Act to amend the Competition Act (inquiry into industry sector), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

(a) adding, after the word “support”, the words “, in principle,”; and
(b) deleting the words “and adoption” and “at the United Nations as well as”.
