The Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security met at 3:28 p.m. this day, in Room 306, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Daryl Kramp, presiding.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2014-15: Votes 1 and 5 under CANADA BORDER SERVICES AGENCY, Vote 1 under CANADIAN SECURITY INTELLIGENCE SERVICE, Votes 1 and 5 under CORRECTIONAL SERVICE OF CANADA, Vote 1 under OFFICE OF THE CORRECTIONAL INVESTIGATOR, Vote 1 under PAROLE BOARD OF CANADA, Votes 1 and 5 under PUBLIC SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, Votes 1, 5 and 10 under ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE, Vote 1 under ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE EXTERNAL REVIEW COMMITTEE, Vote 1 under ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE PUBLIC COMPLAINTS COMMISSION and Vote 1 under SECURITY INTELLIGENCE REVIEW COMMITTEE, referred to the Committee on Thursday, February 27, 2014.

It was agreed, — That, due to technical malfunction of the proceedings and verification console and uncertainty of whether digital audio of witness testimony was being captured, witness testimony should not proceed.

 

Accordingly, the Chair dismissed the witnesses.
