The Standing Committee on Health met in camera at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Ben Lobb, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Hedy Fry, Wladyslaw Lizon, Ben Lobb, James Lunney, Cathy McLeod, Christine Moore, Murray Rankin and David Wilks.

 

Acting Members present: Scott Reid for Terence Young, Djaouida Sellah for Matthew Kellway and Rodney Weston for Terence Young.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Havi Echenberg, Analyst; Marlisa Tiedemann, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), section 80.1 of the Pest Control Products Act and the motion adopted on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Act.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of the best practices and federal barriers: practice and training of healthcare professionals.
 
The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.
 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $15,200.00, for the study of Health Canada Safety Code 6 be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motions adopted Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee hear witnesses concerning Safety Code 6 on Tuesday, April 21, and consider a draft report of its study of scopes of practice on Thursday, April 23, 2015.

 

At 5:31 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
