The Standing Committee on Finance met at 8:45 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mark Adler, Hon. Ron Cannan, Raymond Côté, Nathan Cullen, Pierre Dionne Labelle, James Rajotte, Andrew Saxton and Dave Van Kesteren.

Acting Members present: Joan Crockatt for Joyce Bateman and Emmanuel Dubourg for Hon. Scott Brison.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mark Mahabir, Analyst.

Witnesses: British Columbia Civil Liberties Association: Micheal Vonn, Policy Director. Clement Advisory Group: Garry W.G. Clement, President and Chief Executive Officer. Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP: Koker Christensen, Partner. MNP LLP: Matthew McGuire, National Leader, AML Practice Investigative and Forensic Services. As an individual: Haras Rafiq, Quilliam Foundation.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of Terrorist Financing in Canada and Abroad.

Micheal Vonn, Garry W.G. Clement, Koker Christensen, Matthew McGuire and Haras Rafiq, by videoconference from London, United Kingdom, made statements and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $27,150, for the study of Terrorist Financing in Canada and Abroad, be adopted.

At 10:41 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
