The Standing Committee on International Trade met at 3:31 p.m. this day, in Room 306, The Valour Building, the Chair, Randy Hoback, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Mike Allen, Hon. Ron Cannan, Chrystia Freeland, Parm Gill, Nina Grewal, Randy Hoback, Laurin Liu, Marc-André Morin and Devinder Shory.

 

Acting Members present: Fin Donnelly for Don Davies.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Alexandre Gauthier, Analyst; Pascal Tremblay, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: 123 Certification: Claude Choquet, President and Chief Executive Officer. Analytica Advisors Inc.: Céline Bak, Chief Executive Officer. Cravo Equipment Ltd.: Anne Jackowetz, Vice President, Finance. Ingenia Consulting: Ramona Materi, Principal.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, the Committee resumed its study on small and medium size enterprises.
 

Claude Choquet, by videoconference from Montréal, Québec, Ramona Materi, Anne Jackowetz and Céline Bak made statements and answered questions.

 

At 5:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:02 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee hold one (1) meeting on Monday, May 4, 2015, to hear from stakeholders on the Government of Canada's announcement on March 18, 2015 related to export support for SMEs. That the stakeholders to be invited are the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters, Canadian Federation of Independent Business, and the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters. That the findings be included in the current SME study.

 

At 5:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
