The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in a televised session at 3:58 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Scott Andrews, Charlie Angus, Charmaine Borg, Brad Butt, Blaine Calkins, John Carmichael, Patricia Davidson, Earl Dreeshen, Pierre-Luc Dusseault and Colin Mayes.

Acting Members present: Chris Warkentin for Dean Del Mastro.

Other Members present: Murray Rankin.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Miguel Bernal-Castillero, Analyst ; Maxime-Olivier Thibodeau, Analyst.

Witnesses: Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner: Mary Dawson, Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner; Nancy Bélanger, General Counsel; Lyne Robinson-Dalpé, Assistant Commissioner, Advisory and Compliance.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Monday, December 10, 2012, section 67 of the Conflict of Interest Act, and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Conflict of Interest Act.

On motion of Charlie Angus, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $23,500, for the study of the Statutory Review of the Conflict of Interest Act, be adopted.

On motion of Charlie Angus, it was agreed, — That the Committee do now adjourn and that the Commissioner of Conflict of Interest and Ethics be invited to appear at a later date.

At 4:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
