The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 7-52, 131 Queen Street, the Chair, the Hon. Rob Moore, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Scott Armstrong, Gordon Brown, Paul Calandra, Andrew Cash, Matthew Dubé, Parm Gill, Jim Hillyer, Hon. Rob Moore, Pierre Nantel, Scott Simms, Rathika Sitsabaiesan and Terence Young.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michael Dewing, Analyst; Marion Ménard, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Writers Guild of Canada: Maureen Parker, Executive Director; Kelly Lynne Ashton, Director, Policy. Entertainment Software Association of Canada: Jayson Hilchie, President and Chief Executive Officer; Jason Kee, Director, Policy and Legal Affairs. KPMG: Rob DePetris, Senior Manager; Carole Deniger, Executive Director. Interactive Ontario: Donald Henderson, President and Chief Executive Officer; Peter Miller, Chair. Alliance numérique: Pierre Proulx, General Manager; Stéphane D'Astous, Chairman of the Board.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 4, 2012, the Committee resumed its study on the Canadian entertainment software industry.
 

Maureen Parker, Kelly Lynne Ashton, Jayson Hilchie, Jason Kee, Rob DePetris, Carole Deniger, Donald Henderson, Peter Miller, Pierre Proulx and Stéphane D'Astous made statements and answered questions.

 

At 5:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
